Our Process

Does your team meet regularly and enjoy learning together? We can work with that.

Is your audience remote workers on completely different timetables? We can work with that.

Are you trying to reach as many people as possible, as quickly as possible? We can work with that.

It starts with a conversation

The internet is loaded with generically presented information on any number of topics. JWS Learning Design offers a customized approach to training with learning plans tailored to your preferences and needs.

We begin with a consultation, interviewing key stakeholders to identify your training goals and outlining a plan for development and implementation.

From there, we move into a research and development phase: setting benchmark goals, interviewing experts, and building assets.

What is a learning asset?

Effective assets present information broken out into manageable segments with opportunities for hands-on practice that models real-world application.

Anything can be a learning asset. But, generally speaking, these are any tool that promotes engagement with and retention of new knowledge and skills.

The slide deck for a presentation is a learning asset – so is the script used by the presenter. Other common examples are videos, articles, and worksheets. Even a board game could be a learning asset, if designed correctly.

No first draft is a final draft

Feedback is key to developing effective training. This is especially true when the learning assets are designed to be presented by yourself, or a member of your team. It’s essential to capture the right voice and tone for each project. So, we will likely go through 2-3 rounds of revisions before delivering a final product.
